I’m back with another Friday Favorites, and linking up with one of my favorite bloggers, the Mix and Match Mama! Some days are harder than others, but we’re doing our best finding happiness in the daily little things. Here’s a glance into my favorites recently…

*Disclaimer: As anxious and excited as we are, our building/moving date is very open-ended. Jake is still working in Cleveland, and building a custom home will obviously take time. We are praying though that things fall into place, and we’ll be near family sooner rather than later 🙂

If you’re reading this from Ohio, you already know how beautiful last week was. Upper 70s in November… no complaints here! We took advantage of the weather and made a day trip down to Columbus to catch up with friends, and walk around campus with my little brother and his girlfriend. My parents use to visit campus with us in strollers years ago, so it felt so special to be doing it with my own baby. There’s just something about roaming around the dorms, and across the oval that brings me right back; but even better with Connor. Our future Buckeye <3

Although the weather has been warmer than usual, I spent the last week deep cleaning my house, preparing for Christmas decorations. I’ve slowly been putting some out, but tomorrow evening, we’ll be blaring Michael Buble and putting up the main tree and house lights! I’m giddy for the holidays now that we have Con. The more memories and traditions, the better <3

Although our Christmas decorations are going up, I’m also planning out our Thanksgiving menu. Both mine and Jake’s parents are coming up to Cleveland this year, so our house will be full! I’m ready for the sweet potato casserole, then lounging around the fire watching football. And of course seeing Connor try all sorts of new foods too.
(Next weekend is our Friendsgiving with our besties in Cleveland, and I’m most definitely making THIS! If you’re ever in need of festive/seasonal recipes, Shay is your girl.)
