If you know me, you know that it’s no secret that I love country music, and secretly wish I could pick up this life of mine and live it right in the middle of Nashville, Tennessee. I don’t know if it’s the music, the food, or that sweet southern accent, but I am head over heels in love with it all. Stay tuned for my “Southern Wedding Trends” post… but for now I wanted to recap some looks and trends that were seen last night during the Academy of Country Music Awards, in Las Vegas!
Overall, I would say COLOR was the way to go this year. Of course, black never goes out of style, but as you can see… stars weren’t scared to go bright and bold! Deep Vs and sexy plunging necklines were also on repeat. When in Vegas though, am I right? My personal favorite from the group above? Danielle Bradbery with the plunging neckline AND the high slit! GET IT GIRL.
Honorable mention to these couple of men, Brothers Osborne, not afraid of color either!
And of course… if you follow me on social media, you’ll know Maren Morris is my FAVORITE! Her music is powerful, her style is uniquely her own, and I truly think she is the definition of GIRL POWER! She’s not scared to show up on the carpet and make a statement with her look, and last night was no different. *I also loved that she showed up in lilac, because in my post later this week, I’ve predicted lilac to be THE bridal color this spring and summer!!
Last but certainly not least, the QUEEN herself, Carrie Underwood, who of course broke all the trends and wore black, with a one shoulder neckline… but she can do no wrong, CAN WE ALL AGREE?! (Excuse me, didn’t she just have a baby like two months ago too?!)
There was something about watching the red carpet this year, or maybe it’s just me being a 25 year old, newly married, trying-to-make it, entrepreneur dreamer; but I loved seeing so many strong female artists making themselves known. Not only are they putting men in their industry to the test, but they are lifting each other up and encouraging the other women walking beside them. I think we can all take a lesson from that. Something to get you thinking on this Monday morning… XOXO,
